Grants Assistant (joint with Africa House and CTED)
Devin joined the DRI team in Summer 2012. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Education through the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development with a concentration in International Development Education. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles with a major in Communication Studies, Devin went on to work in northern Tanzania teaching a full HIV-sensitization curriculum to primary school youth and local factory workers. He later went on to assist in non-profit management and curriculum development in southern Uganda.
Here at NYU, Devin researches education in emergencies programs as well as education’s role in conflict mitigation in sub-Saharan Africa, and has engaged extensively in projects with UNICEF’s Child Protection section and the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE). He plans to return to East Africa upon completion of his degree.
